Level 3 restrictions force postponement of our Evening with Danny Hay

posted in: Events, News

Auckland’s move to COVID-19 alert level 3 has forced the postponement of our special Evening with Danny Hay (part 2) event on Monday March 1.

The All Whites coach was due to update football supporters on his work with the national team at a Friends of Football-hosted evening at Western Springs FC.

However the event has had to be put on hold following the news Auckland will remain at alert level 3 till at least 6am on Sunday March 7.

Friends of Football hopes to be able to re-arrange the event when the time is appropriate.

The event follows a similar event in October 2019, soon after Hay took charge of the All Whites, when more than 50 fans enjoyed an hour of insights about the challenges facing the national coach.

Since then, the challenges have increased with disruption from the COVID-19 pandemic but Hay has continued to work with his staff and playing squad in anticipation of the return of international football.
