Football enthusiasts are invited to a movie night at Bay Olympic’s clubrooms to watch a special screening of an award-winning football film.
The Bafta-winning Marvellous will screen for members of Auckland club Bay Olympic and Friends of Football, and their guests, on Friday July 30, 2021, starting at 7.30pm.
Admission is free on a first-come-first-served basis, and the movie is recommended for a 15+ audience.
The clubrooms open at 6.30pm with the bar and kitchen open.
Marvellous tells the true story of Neil ‘Nello’ Baldwin who became a key member of Stoke City’s backroom staff in the 1980s – and a club legend.
Played by actor Toby Jones, ‘Nello’ became a legend in English football. His story is inspiring and is proof that in football, anything is possible.
This movie has screened at the clubrooms of Takapuna AFC and Auckland United, receiving extremely positive responses from audiences.
- Friends of Football want to hear from Auckland and Waikato clubs who would like to screen this movie for their members. Please email us for more details.
