Auckland to host 15 OFC Champions League matches in August

Football fans get the chance to watch 15 OFC Champions League matches at a two-week Auckland tournament between August 4-17.

Auckland City will represent New Zealand at the eight-nation tournament to decide which club will go forward as Oceania’s entry at the next FIFA Club World Cup, due to be held in China.

All the OFC Champions League games will be played at the OFC Home of Football, at Ngahue Reserve, Stonefields, Auckland.

The teams are split into two groups with the top tool pool qualifiers playing off in the semi-finals, followed by a final on August 17.

Group A

AS Vénus (Tahiti) — runners-up 2020-21 Tahiti Ligue 1

Lae City (Papua New Guinea) — 2021 PNG National Socer League champions

Central Coast (Solomon Islands) — 2021 Solomon Islands S–League champions

Galaxy (Vanuatu) — 2021 VFF National Super League champions

Group B

Auckland City — National League champions

Hienghène Sport (New Caledonia) — 2021 New Caledonia Super League champions

Nikao Sokattak (Cook Islands) — 2021 Cook Islands Round Cup champions

Rewa (Fiji) — runners-up 2021 Fiji Premier League
