Single ticket sales open for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup

FIFA have opened sales for single tickets at the 2023 Women’s World Cup but will give priority to VISA cardholders.

The single tickets will be available exclusively to VISA cardholders till Monday October 31. Visa are a main sponsor of FIFA.

The tickets then go on general sale from Tuesday November 1.

Tournament tickets are being released in phases.

A million tickets were available for sale in multi-match packages before the tournament draw at Auckland’s Aotea Centre on October 22 but these offers have closed.

The prices

FIFA have revealed ticket prices will start as low as $20 for adults and $10 for children for single tickets after the tournament draw.

About the tournament

This will be the ninth edition of the four-yearly world championship for women’s national football teams.

Scheduled from July 20, 2023, till the final on August 20, 2023, the tournament will feature 32 teams, playing group games and knockout stages in New Zealand and Australia.

Play-off series in February

A week-long tournament will be held in Auckland and Hamilton between February 17-23. This will decide the last three teams to qualify for the Women’s World Cup.

Matches will be played at Albany’s North Harbour Stadium and Hamilton’s FMG Waikato Stadium.

FMG Stadium Waikato … will co-host the February play-off series and five World Cup games.

Volunteers needed

Tournament organisers seek hundreds of football-loving volunteers to help with the successful delivery of the February play-offs, and the World Cup tournament.
