Second half goals seal NRF Men’s Federation Cup for Uni-Mount Bohemian Alto Vuelo

Uni-Mount Bohemian’s Alto Vuelo side have won the 2022 NRF Men’s Federation Cup.

The side beat Hibiscus Coast 2-0 in the final played at Papakura’s McLennan Park.

After a scoreless first half, Alto Vuelo finally broke through in the 71st minute when Vitor Fernandes scored.

The result remained in the balance till the fifth minute of stoppage time when Guilherme Piconi scored Alto Vuelo’s second goal to wrap up the result.

On Sunday, Hibiscus Coast and Metro meet in the final of the NRF Women’s Knockout Cup which has been renamed the Carol Waller Cup in recognition of the first New Zealand women’s team goalkeeper who has held numerous off-the-pitch roles over the past four years.
