With two late goals in extra time from Apisai Rabuka, Coastal Spirit overcame Ferrymead Bays 5-3 to reach the last eight in the competition.
In the NRF Men’s League One, leaders Papakura City beat Uni-Mount Bohemian 3-1 at McLennan Park to pull three points ahead of nearest rivals Papatoetoe, who have three games in hand.
Meanwhile, the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship got underway in Samoa, with Fiji and the Solomon islands winning on the opening day of the eight-nation tournament.
