Wellington Phoenix midfielder Mohamed Al-Taay has been called into the Iraq national team for September’s FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Oman and Kuwait.
Al-Taay (24) has one cap for his country who are trying to reach the World Cup finals for the first time since 1986.
In the third round of Asian qualifying, Iraq face South Korea, Jordan, Oman, Palestine and Kuwait.
