A gala day for walking footballers will be held at North Shore United’s Allen Hill Stadium on Sunday September 29.
Organisers say it’s an ideal opportunity to play walking football, whether you’ve played the format before or want to try it out.
“Form a men or women or mixed team (up to 12 players) with your mates or from your club, business, church, impairment group or family or a walking group or your retirement village,” organisers say.
Games of five-a-side will be run throughout the gala day, which starts at noon.
“Enjoy our hospitality, have lunch and a drink in our club rooms, meet up with old friends and play the beautiful game.”
