Former Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Rylee Foster has signed for English Women’s Super League club Everton.
Foster (26) played for Everton’s archrivals Liverpool in 2020 before surviving an horrific car accident that halted her promising career.

The Canadian rebooted her career by joining the Phoenix for the 2023-24 women’s A-League, and started in 19 of her team’s 22 matches. She kept three clean sheets, helping the Phoenix to their highest finish in the competition.
In July 2024, Foster confirmed she would be leaving New Zealand for the next stage of her career.
“I always said the club took a big risk in taking me on and they were an instrumental part of my return to the professional game,” she said when announcing her departure.
“If it wasn’t for the Phoenix I wouldn’t be able to take the next steps in my career like I’m able to now.”
