New Zealand refs to officate in knockout stage of FIFA Futsal Men’s World Cup

New Zealand referees Chris Sinclair and Antony Riley will officiate in the Round of 16 at the FIFA Futsal Men’s World Cup in Uzbekistan.

They have been allocated the tie between Thailand (ranked #9 in the world) and France (#10).

The game will be streamed live and free to New Zealand by FIFA+.

It’s the second World Cup at which Sinclair and Riley have represented Oceania, and Riley will retire from refereeing after the tournament.

New Zealand’s Futsal Whites were eliminated from the competition at the group stage, losing to Spain, Kazakhstan and Libya. It was the New Zealand team’s first-ever appearance at a Futsal World Cup.
