Our tipster panel predicts a Grand Final that could go to either team

Sunday’s ISPS Handa Premiership grand final could go to the wire if a poll of Friends of Football pundits is any indication.

Auckland City play Team Wellington (3.10pm) at Albany’s QBE Stadium to decide which team will be named national men’s champions.

A poll of our committee members suggests there’s no clearcut favourite – and no one suggests a margin of more than two goals, no matter which side will win.

Bragging rights are at stake – which of our pundits will go closest?

Pundits poll

Earle Thomas (former All White and member of national league-winning Mt Wellington): 2-1 to Auckland City

Alan Yates (former national league player and coach): 2-1 to Team Wellington

Chris Curley (former Eden FC Northern League): 1-0 to Team Wellington

Dale Webster (former Northern League club coach): 2-0 to Auckland City

Josh Easby (football writer): 2-2, Team Wellington to win penalty shoot-out

Roger Collins (member of national league-winning Mt Wellington): 2-2, Team Wellington to win penalty shoot-out

Cathleen Bias (former NZ Football staffer and now with NZ Olympic Committee): 2-0 to Auckland City

Andrew Dewhurst (who will provide the commentary for Sky Sports’ live coverage of the final): 3-2 to Auckland City, Emiliano Tade to score winner in the 83rd minute

Brian Turner (former All White and member of national league-winning Mt Wellington): 3-1 to Auckland City
