Christchurch’s Cashmere Technical have earned their place in this year’s ISPS Handa Chatham Cup final after a late winner against Wellington’s Western Suburbs in their semi-final.
Striker Yuya Tagushi scored the all-important goal with only five minutes left, giving Technical the chance to win their fourth Chatham Cup, after previously winning the trophy in 2013 and 2014.
Who they will meet – and where – remains to be decided.
Wellington’s Miramar Rangers meet Auckland’s North Shore United on October 16 in the second semi-final, providing COVID-19 restrictions allow United to travel outside of their city.
The final is provisionally scheduled for the weekend of October 30-31.
