Auckland United teenager Kate Duncan is heading to the United States for a football scholarship with Drexel University’s women’s team who play in the NCAA Division 1.

Duncan (18) has represented New Zealand at U-17 level and has trained with age group squads from U-16 to U-20, and has played Northern Premier League football for Auckland United since 2019.

The former Baradene College player joins the Drexel Dragons as a midfielder who can either play in a defensive role or push forward.

(She’s not to be confused with former Football Fern Katie Duncan who is Auckland United’s Head Coach).

Her coach at the Dragons will be Ray Good, who played for the Houston Dynamos in the United Soccer League until he switched to coaching. He’s been head coach at Drexel for 25 years.
