All Whites striker Chris Wood continues to wait for his first goal for new club Newcastle United but he’s getting credit for helping turn around the side’s form.
He’s now played seven games for five wins and two draws, helping United clear the relegation zone in the English Premier League.
In his latest game, a 2-1 win against Brighton & Hove Albion, Wood played a key role in the first United goal scored by Ryan Fraser.
Wood receives the ball in his own half, facing his own goal.
The big Kiwi turns and rolls off Brighton skipper Lewis Dunk, carries the ball forward and then delivers a perfect through ball for the speedy Jacob Murphy. It’s Murphy’s shot off the post that becomes a tap in for Fraser.
