Western Springs’ forward Dawson Straffon scored a well-executed goal to win his side’s Northern League fixture against Takapuna at North Harbour Stadium.
The only goal of the match, it earned Springs three valuable points in the round of games played on Saturday May 22, 2022.

Straffon’s goal came 34 minutes into the match when defender Sebastian Stephan lofted a long past from the halfway line into the path of Straffon on the edge of the Takapuna penalty area.
Straffon beat a defender, dribbled wide of goalkeeper Liam Anderson and threaded the ball into the net from an acute angle.
