What’s on at the weekend — our guide to the pick of the football action

Plenty of live action to choose from this weekend — as well as the chance to start Sunday with breakfast in front of a big screen showing the UEFA Champions League final!

That’s what football fans have in store this week with full rounds of men’s and women’s Lotto NRFL fixtures while the Northern League has five games scheduled for Saturday.

Here’s our round-up of what to watch, what to do, and when, over the weekend of May 27-29.

Friday

Lotto NRFL first division

Metro start the weekend off with a floodlit match against Albany United at Phyllis Street on Friday (7.30pm kick-off).

Saturday

Northern League 

Six games all kick off at 3pm so plenty for the neutral spectator to choose from.

If you can’t get to a game, the Auckland City v Auckland United game will be livestreamed.

Lotto NRFL first division

Five games in the first division on Saturday, all starting at 3pm.

Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League

There’s only one WPL game on Saturday — Tauranga City host Western Springs at Links Ave (3pm).

Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League

Three WPL games this Sunday. Home games for Hamilton Wanderers and Eastern Suburbs both start at 1pm, while the league leaders Northern Rovers head to West Coast Rangers (3pm).
