Football Fern Olivia Chance has won a Scottish Cup winner’s medal after helping her Celtic team to a 3-2 win in extra time.

Celtic played most of the game with 10 players after a red card before half-time but won the final against Glasgow City at Tynescastle to clinch a record-breaking double cup win, adding this trophy to their SWPL Cup won earlier in the season.

Celtic’s goals were scored by Shen Mengyu, Charlie Wellings (penalty) and an extra-time winner from Izzy Atkinson.

Chance (28) has been with Celtic since August last year, after representing New Zealand at the Tokyo Olympics.

The midfielder has played for the Football Ferns since making her debut in 2011 when playing for Claudelands Rovers.

She’s since had a career with stints at Breiðablik (Iceland), Everton, Bristol City, Sheffield United and Brisbane Roar.
