Kate Sheppard Cup ties are scheduled over four days of the Queen’s Birthday Weekend starting with a Friday night tie between top sides Western Springs and Northern Rovers.
The fixture, at Ngahue Reserve, matches two of the sides competing for the Lotto NRFL Women’s Premier League title.
Springs coach Ryan Faithfull says his side has come right after recent COVID-related disruption and is looking forward to the game against Rovers.
He told the WSAFC website: “Cup games are different to the league games, there is more at stake and the mentality is different. Cup games are won and lost in big moments and we are a team who thrive for these moments.”
