Queen’s Birthday weekend produced some great cup and league football … but there’s one goal that deserves a second watch.
Eastern Suburbs and Takapuna were scoreless as their Northern League game approached half-time at Madills Farm.
Suburbs were awarded a free kick about 25 metres from the Takapuna goal.
A defensive wall was set. Suburbs players took position … and skipper Michael Built (main photo) prepared to take the free-kick.
