Onehunga Mangere United have an opportunity to slip into third spot on the Lotto NRFL first division ladder when they play the competition’s only fixture, against Northern Rovers, on Saturday.
With some NRFL clubs still engaged in the Chatham Cup, United and Rovers — who are both out of the cup — have rescheduled their fixture to be played on Mangere Mountain.
It’s a classic mid-table match in which a draw suits neither side.
United can go third, but a Rovers win would take Paul Gothard’s side jump from sixth to fourth.
