Lotto NRFL second division side Franklin United have secured four players for the rest of the season, having concluded their registrations before the June 30 deadline.

None of the four featured in United’s 4-1 win against Beachlands Maraetai on Saturday (July 2) but they provide depth to the club’s senior ranks.

The four players are:

  • Liam Whiter (24) returns to Franklin Utd, where he has previously been first team captain, after a brief spell at Metro FC where he played twice for the club’s reserve side.
  • Prashil Kumar (31) is a centre-forward whose former clubs include Manukau United and South Auckland Rangers.
  • Felipe Rosas Gallardo (22) has played his football in his native Chile and Franklin United are his first New Zealand club. A winger, he is the brother of current first team player, Hardy Rosas Gallardo.
  • Wahid Moorad (23) plays in midfield and has returned from Germany, where he has been training with a 5th-tier Bundesliga club for whom he wants to sign with when he returns to Germany at the end of the year. He has played previously at Fencibles United and Eastern Suburbs.
