The top-of-the-table fixture between Northern League leaders Auckland City and nearest rivals Birkenhead United will be played under lights on Wednesday July 13.
The match, at Birkenhead’s Shepherds Park, has been rescheduled because of Auckland City’s participation in the OFC Champions League tournament to be held in Auckland during August.
Auckland City remain unbeaten in the competition, having taken 46 points from a possible 48, and conceding only six goals.
But Birkenhead have started to consolidate their second placing and already look sure to making the top four qualifying places for this year’s National League competition.
Wednesday’s match, which kicks off at 7pm, will provide a useful benchmark of the gap between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Auckland City’s home match against Manukau United has been switched from Saturday August 13 to Tuesday July 19 (7pm) and will be played at the Croatian Club.
