In the Championship, Cambridge beat title rivals Waikato Unicol 2-1.
It means Cambridge lead the competition on goal difference from Otumoetai who beat Te Puke United 1-0.
In the W-League, second-placed Lakes dropped two points in their 2-2 draw with bottom-placed Otumoetai, while leaders Otumoetai United romped home 10-1 against Waikato Unicol.
