Lakes and Melville hit goalscoring form in latest WaiBOP W-League fixtures

Lakes FC and Melville United both had hefty wins in the latest round of WaiBOP W-League fixtures.

Lakes beat bottom-placed side Otumoetai 10 win, with Halee Smith finding the net four times, while Morgan MacCormick and Briana Osborne both struck doubles.

Melville’s Zaineh Abdelrazeq completed a hat-trick within half an hour of starting her side’s game against local rivals Claudelands Rovers, and she added a fourth just after the break on the way to a 7-1 win at Galloway Park.

League champions-elect, Otumoetai United, beat Waikato Unicol 4-1 away, thanks to a strong second-half performance.
