Former Wellington Phoenix striker Roy Krishna has scored in his debut for new club Bengaluru FC, helping them beat Jamshedpur FC 2-1 in his side’s season opener in the Durand Cup.
The 34-year-old Fijian captain combined with legendary Indian international Sunil Chhetri (38) to put their side 2-0 up after 56 minutes, after Chhetri had given them a first-half lead.
Chhetri provided Krishna with the assist, setting him up with a clever backheel.
