Former Auckland City player David Browne has scored a spectacular goal to give his HJK Helsinki club a first-leg advantage over Danish club Silkeborg in the UEFA Europa League.

Browne (26) received the ball in plenty of space when Silkeborg failed to clear a corner. He lined up his shot from five metres outside the penalty area and sent it flying into the top right corner.

His 80th minute goal gives his Finnish club a 1-0 lead in the two-legged cup tie.
