Birkenhead United beaten Metro 2-1 to confirm their new-found form in the NRF Women’s Conference.
Having failed to registered a win in their first nine games of the season, Birkenhead have now won two on the bounce since the split of the NRF Women’s Championship into two tiers.
United’s latest win came after the side trailed Metro to a Rebecca Poi goal but Taelah Leat scored a quickfire double with goals in the 73rd and 75th minutes.
Meanwhile Te Atatu beat Beachlands Maraetai in Sunday’s other fixture.
