Birkenhead United continued their strong finish to the season with a fourth win in the NRF Women’s Conference, against title winners Te Atatu.
Birkenhead, who have thrived since the split of the NRF Women’s Championship into two groups, also achieved back-to-back clean sheets when they beat Te Atatu 1-0, with a goal from Annie Lydon in the 55th minute.
Beachlands Maraetai beat bottom-placed Bay Olympic 2-0 in their fixture, with goals from Brooke Petty and Stephanie Smith.
