Goals in short supply as NRF Women’s Championship provides set of close results

posted in: News

Goals were scarce in the NRF Women’s Championship’s latest round with only four goals scored in the three games played.

Unbeaten leaders Hibiscus Coast were held to a draw for only the second time this year, as Onehunga Sports shared a 0-0 draw with the champions at their Stanmore Bay Park home ground.

A double by Nina Feliciano helped Fencibles United to a 2-1 win at Central United, whose goal came from Jordana Bremner.

The win was enough to lift Fencibles above Central on the league table.

At Pukekohe’s Bledisloe Park, Manukau United beat Franklin United 1-0, thanks to an Ashley Porter goal halfway through the first half.
