Cambridge and Te Puke United to meet in Waikato Women’s Cup final

Cambridge will play Te Puke United in the final of the Waikato Women’s Cup at Hamilton’s Korikori Park on Sunday September 25.

The game will kick off at 10am, giving players and spectators time to watch the All Whites play Australia’s Socceroos at Auckland’s Eden Park (4pm).

Cambridge’s second division team will go into the final, having beaten Thames 6-5 in a thrilling semi-final.

The club’s first division side lost to Te Puke in their semi-final at Litt Park, losing in a penalty shoot-out after the sides were tied 2-2 after extra time.

Sunday’s Waikato Women’s Plate final will also kick off at 10am, at Korikori Park.

That game features Huntly Thistle and Taupo.
