A-League football gets underway this weekend with the Wellington Phoenix hosting Adelaide United at Sky Stadium.

The event also helps showcase New Zealand’s Men’s National League as the curtain-raiser will be between the Phoenix reserves and Auckland United.

This weekend sees round 2 of the Men’s National League and round 4 of the Women’s National League.

In Auckland, the season ends for almost 1,000 Sunday league footballers when the Auckland Sunday Football Association holds its finals day at Parr’s Park, Orati.
