Fencibles United looking to appoint women’s first team coach for next season

Fencibles United are seeking expressions of interest as they look to appoint a new head coach for their women’s first team.

The team plays in the NRF Women’s Championship.

The club says its board and director of football Marty Rodwell will get behind a successful candidate who wants to progress women’s, junior and youth girls’ football in East Auckland.

The club says 2022 has been an exciting year in that:

  • They have been granted Girls TDP accreditation.
  • They re-established their women’s first team and finished fifth in the NRF Championship.
  • Their girls’ premier teams featured highly in the U-14 and U-16 girls’ premier leagues.

In their advertisement, the club says: “There is also an opportunity to do additional coaching within our prem girls youth teams for the ideal applicant – we are flexible in our approach to coaching, and we can adjust a timetable that suits the right candidate.”

What’s required

Essential:

  • Minimum qualification of NZF C Licence (or overseas equivalent) — the club is happy to help in finishing off the practical requirements, if required.
  • Ability to work within a team and be a self-motivator.
  • Grounded mentality — we are one team.
  • Well-organised and a good communicator.
