Updated: Northern sides and Cashmere Tech start National Youth League tournament with wins

Cashmere Technical recorded the biggest win of the boys’ National Youth League quarter-finals played on the opening day of the competition’s finals tournament.

Technical beat Onslow/North Wellington 7-0 to go into the draw for Saturday’s semi-finals.

Other quarter-final winners were Birkenhead United, Tauranga City and Auckland United.
