Unbeaten records go on the line as big guns face each other over Labour Weekend

posted in: News

Four teams go into Labour Weekend protecting unbeaten starts to the Men’s National League season.

Two games stand out as fixtures likely to entertain, with their results having a significant bearing on the early title credentials of the clubs:

  • Leaders Birkenhead United travel to the impressive Wellington Olympic who are third on the table, only a point behind.
  • Auckland City and Napier City Rovers — both unbeaten after three rounds — meet at Kiwitea Street on Sunday, in a game.

The table is tight with a third of the programme completed, with only two points separating the top half of the table.
