Captain Cam Howieson will miss Auckland City’s match against Napier City Rovers on Sunday.
The All Whites midfielder is suspended for the Men’s National League fixture at Kiwitea Street following his sending off against Birkenhead United in the previous round.
Coach Albert Riera says Alfie Rogers will also miss the match through a hamstring injury.
He told Auckland City’s website:
“We have a few knocks but Alfie Rogers is the main one and has picked up an injury on his hamstring which isn’t his first one this year.
“We wish him a quick recovery because he’s a fantastic player and a great lad to have around the squad so hopefully we see him back on the team as soon as possible.”
City and Rovers go into the match unbeaten after three outings in the competition.
The game starts at 3pm.
