New Zealand striker Max Mata (22) has been named Young Player of the Year by his League of Ireland club Sligo Rovers.
Aucklander Mata, a one-cap All White, has scored nine goals this season for Sligo with whom he recently signed an extended contract, committing him to the club till at least 2024.
Mata joined Rovers with fellow All White Nando Pijnaker this year.
Both featured in Rovers’ Europa Conference League campaign this year, with Mata scoring in the first qualifying round against Welsh side Bala Town.
