Goodin sweeps first team awards as Oratia United honour their season’s best

Goalkeeper Eamon Goodin has collected three player awards at Oratia United’s end-of-season prizegiving function.

The 27-year-old shot-stopper, who joined Tia from Metro last year, picked up first team trophies for Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year.

At its end-of-season function, the club named its Westies side as the Club’s Team of the Year.

Awarded to the Connolly family. This trophy is awarded to those who ‘go the extra mile’. The Connollys support the ‘Tia academy, coach a youth team, support and play in two senior teams.

Lal scored 36 goals for Oratia Nabekavu in 2022.

Dave Neild Trophy (top goal scorer from Masters’ divisions)
Vishal Lal (Oratia Nabekavu) with 36 goals finished ahead of Rob Oxley (Westies) and Alvin Avinesh (Oratia Nabekavu) who both scored 35 goals.
