Birkenhead ‘keeper Silvio Rodic named MVP for Men’s National League

Birkenhead United goalkeeper Silvio Rodic has been named the Most Valuable Player for the 2022 Men’s National League.

The award was announced at Mt Smart Stadium after Auckland City beat Wellington Olympic 3-2 in the Grand Final of the competition.

Rodic (35) joined Birkenhead from North Shore United in time for the National League season and his performances between the posts played a significant part in helping his side finish fourth on the table.

As well as four seasons with North Shore, Rodic has turned out for Eastern Suburbs, Waitakere United and Waiheke United.
