Birkenhead United and Northern Rovers are celebrating wins at the national U-17s tournament in Auckland after four days of frantic competition.
The tournament drew many hundreds of visitors to Seddon Fields in Auckland where host club Western Springs so ably staged the event for 36 teams.
The regular Women’s National League season was completed with round 14 games — there’s just the Grand Final to go.
The Phoenix men’s and women’s teams returned from Australia without a win.
And in Qatar, the FIFA World Cup was left with only four teams for its final week.
