Pitman steps down as head coach of Southern League side Nomads United

Andy Pitman has decided to step down as head coach of Southern League club Nomads United ahead of the 2023 season.

Andy Pitman.

Pitman plans to coach junior football and will continue to offer support and guidance for the club’s senior teams in a less formal way.

Announcing Pitman’s decision, Nomads United said: “The club would like to say a massive thanks to Andy for the effort and work he has done over the past four seasons.

“Andy has been instrumental in developing the senior game at Nomads and through his leadership and commitment, he has seen the club promoted to the Southern League and build a strong pathway for players from within our youth system to achieve first team football and beyond.

“Andy has also helped a number of our players move onto bigger and better things, including securing USA scholarships, overseas trials, and NZ age-group representation.”

Pitman thanked those who had supported him.

“I am proud of the progress that has been made by the club during this time and look forward to seeing future success.
