Wins for the New Zealand U-17 men’s team and the Wellington Phoenix men’s A-League side provided the weekend’s highlights.
New Zealand are through to the quarter-finals of the OFC U-17 Championship where they need to reach the final to gain automatic qualification to November’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.
The Phoenix moved up to fourth on the isuzu-UTE A-League table with a 1-0 win at Brisbane Roar.
