Announcing the appointment, Fencibles said:

“He has spent many years involved in both women’s and men’s football.

“He has built his career through coaching at London City Lionesses … and has worked with players from semi-professional up to Premier League on a 1-to-1 and group basis, in both strength and conditioning, and technical work.”

Fencibles’ first team played in last season’s NRF Women’s Championship.

Club chairman Aaron Carson said:

“To have someone of Simon’s experience working within our women’s teams is not only going to help the senior players but it will also hugely benefit the youth coming through the club.”
