The Wellington Phoenix will play their women’s A-League match against Sydney at Auckland’s North Harbour Stadium.

North Harbour Stadium has been confirmed as the venue for the Phoenix women’s round 15 Liberty A-League match  on Sunday, February 26.

Tickets are on sale now for the family-friendly 3pm kick-off and start from just $15 for an adult and $5 for a child.

It will be the first of three A-League games in Auckland in three months, with the men to play matches at Eden Park in March and April.

The Phoenix have played four previous men’s matches at North Harbour Stadium and last held an A-League game at the venue at the end of the 2017/18 season.

General manager David Dome has thanked James Parkinson at his team at Auckland Stadiums for stepping up to host the Nix.

“We always wanted to take one of the women’s matches to Auckland, with a number of our commercial partners based in the city,” Dome said.

“It’s great North Harbour Stadium have been able to make our dream a reality.

“The match will also feel like home for several of the players who were part of the Football Ferns Domestic Programme on the North Shore.”

Auckland Stadiums director James Parkinson says it’s great to be able to host an A-League game at North Harbour Stadium again.

“We are thrilled that the Wellington Phoenix are bringing the women’s team to Tāmaki Makaurau and to the Shore,” Parkinson said. “

“We look forward to our local footy fans coming out in force to get behind the Nix.”

The Phoenix women’s fixtures for their first season in Aotearoa have now been finalised.

They have already played four of their eight games in Wellington, with three of their remaining four matches in the capital to be double-headers with the Phoenix men.
