Metro confirm coaching staff for men’s Lotto NRFL team

Metro FC have announced two coaching staff members to assist incoming head coach Scott MacKay for the 2023 Lotto NRFL season.

Craig Squires will be assistant coach.

In its announcement, Metro said:

“After stepping away from first team football, Craig Squires took up the position of assistant coach of our reserves (under 23’s) last season and has now stepped up to be the assistant coach for our men’s first team for 2023.”

Matt Brunton will be the team manager and goalkeeper coach.

“Matt returns for his fifth season as the men’s first team manager and is looking forward to working with Scott and the team. He is also returning as one of the goalkeeper coaches whilst also sitting on the Metro committee,” the club says.

Mackay has joined Metro from West Auckland to take up the club’s role as head coach.
