Otumoetai confirm coaches for new-look Lotto NRFL Southern Conference

Otumoetai have confirmed their men’s coaching line-up for the club’s debut season in the newly-established Lotto NRFL Southern Conference.

The Bay of Plenty club have re-appointed Ross Johnson as head coach for the first team, with the club’s Director of Football, Joe Dixon, in support.

Otumoetai’s reserves side will be led by Juan Pablo Rosende, assisted by Richard Oregan.

Club president Phil Mulligan said:

“We are very much looking forward to the opportunity to take part in the newly-formed NRFL Southern conference, a new league and format for both our top two teams.

“The coaching team have been involved in the club across various roles over a number of years so retaining this consistency of the four guys in similar positions to last year was key off the back of a pretty successful season with both teams finishing runners up.

“They share the values of the club, know both the young and more experienced existing players well, exceed the coaching requirements we need to be in both leagues and are driven to keep moving themselves as coaches and the club further forward.

“With this, we are really excited to see what 2023 brings and look forward to giving the coaches and team our full support.”
