Football Fern Katie Rood has come off the bench to fire her Hearts side into the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup with an extra-time win against Partick Thistle.

Rood (30) was introduced to the match in the 77th minute when the sides were level 1-1.

Ten minutes into extra time, Rood broke the deadlock. She got the ball on the left touchline, cut inside her marker and then curled a perfect finish into the top corner.

That swung the game and Hearts added two more goals in the extra period to go through with a 4-1 win in the match played on Monday February 13, 2023 (NZT).
