Wednesday’s tickets sales will go to support cyclone and flood relief efforts

All ticket revenue from Wednesday’s two matches (in Hamilton and Auckland) in the FIFA Women’s World Cup intercontinental play-off series will support the cyclone and flood relief efforts in New Zealand.

Organisers have decided this is a practical way to help New Zealanders get back on their feet after the devastating floods and the destruction caused by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Both games will decide the next two teams to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia in July/August.
