Haiti and Portugal become latest teams to qualify for FIFA Women’s World Cup

Haiti and Portugal have earned themselves places at this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup after they both won Wednesday’s play-off games.

Haiti, ranked 55th in FIFA’s women’s world rankings, will go into Group D against England (#4), Denmark (#18) and China (#15).

Portugal, ranked 24th in the rankings, will go into Group E against the United States (#1), Netherlands (#8) and Vietnam (#34).

This leaves only one place to fill at the tournament and that will be either Paraguay or Panama or who play on Thursday.
