Football Fern and Wellington Phoenix player Kate Taylor says she enjoyed her positional move from the backline and into the midfield for both her teams in the past week.
Taylor was a surprise pick for the Ferns midfield in their 1-0 loss against Argentina at North Harbour Stadium on February 23, and then played in the centre of the park for the Phoenix against Sydney at the same stadium three days later.
The positional switch did not come as a complete surprise, she said, as she’s had discussions with Ferns coach Jitka Klimková about secondary positions.
