Waterside Karori appoint Milan Batosz as head coach of women’s first team

Wellington’s Waterside Karori have appointed Milan Bartosz as the head coach of their women’s first team.

In announcing his appointment, the club says the native of Czech Republic will bring “a wealth of knowledge and experience in football coaching to our club.”

Bartosz spent 26 years coaching at Jaguars Women’s Soccer Club in Canada, competing in the Major League, and served as an assistant coach for the Canadian women’s national team.

“In New Zealand, Milan has been the Director of Player and Coach Development for Onlsow Junior Football Club and North Wellington AFC, where he has helped to develop numerous players to go onto regional, national and international honours,” the club says.

“Most recently, he has spent time supporting Wellington College and will continue in this role alongside the women’s team.

“Milan holds an impressive number of qualifications from countries like Italy, Spain, Brazil, Germany, Portugal and Canada to name a few and has represented Czech Republic national team at the U-17 age group level as well as playing professionally in Canada.

“We are extremely fortunate to have Milan on board, and we can’t wait to see him build on the success of the team.”
